Do you want to become a professor? Professors, teachers at colleges and universities, have one of the coolest gigs around. At least that's what I think after doing so for 20 years. In addition to teaching myself, I have hired and supervised well over a thousand faculty at different colleges and universities. Higher education is changing, and the traditional path of earning a doctorate and applying for open faculty positions is not the primary career path today. This book distills what I have learned about how to prepare for higher education teaching, how to get hired, and what to do once you have that first teaching position.
