When Christ Jesus walked on the Earth He called people to follow Him. You may know that He called ordinary people. One, called Peter, boasted how brave he was but when the time of testing came, he chickened out and then burst into tears. One, John, tells proudly that he could run faster than Peter. But, in spite of their ordinary background, both of these became leaders in the church. Mary was a lady who preferred to listen to Jesus than do housework, and her sister Martha complained about it. Jesus still calls ordinary people today. Jesus also called a deeply religious man, who knew the doctrine thoroughly. His name was Paul and he came to realise that religious traditions and ceremonies was not enough. It was essential to know Jesus personally. I am saddened that there seem to be many today who are following traditions and ceremonies but who have not yet met Jesus or heard His call. Nicodemus, a member of the ruling council, knew that there was something special about Jesus, and went to meet Him to find out what it was all about. I don't know anything about you, but whoever you are, if you want to know more about Jesus, this book is about who He is and what He has done. Today His call is, "Follow me."
