Roman de Brut
Wace
Roman de Brut was written by Wace in the mid 12th century. It is one of the more prominent and influential Arthurian works of the decade, heavily influencing future works like that of Layamon's Brut and Robert de Boron's Merlin.
It was largely based on Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Regum Britanniae, though Wace appears to be the first to have added several other prominent Arthurian elements, such as the Round Table.
These texts are taken from public domain sources. Their inclusion in this volume is for convenience, as a way of keeping all the shorter and fragmentary texts together in one place. A free copy of the ebook is available online.
