Emotions are real, but for some persons, they express them best on paper. Tanya began writing as a teenager as an emotional release. She grew up in Jamaica at a time where the culture dictated that children were to be seen but not heard. Her parents worked hard to provide a sound education and a decent living condition for her and her siblings. However, it was not the norm to have frequent meaningful conversations with them. In many households at the time, when parents spoke to their children, it was mainly about following rules. Tanya found an outlet for self-expression in the creative arts of drawing and writing. She shares years of emotions in this book.
