Their choice was clear: unless they were prepared to leave the strange humanoid being to suffer and die, they must treat him like a human casualty and carry him to civilisation. But when night merges into day, they find it is not so simple. The journey is arduous, and strange things are afoot. And as day merges into night again, the truth becomes clear: they are in the cross hairs of beings whose motives and technology are beyond their ken. And they are a long way from any earthly help. Having followed the UFO scene for more than 50 years, the writer has produced an authentic what-if story.
