The third in a trilogy, this edition of Ashen Wanderer weaves a path between history, legend and mythology as it traces a journey through ancient Scotland from the Isle of Iona to Dunadd Hill Fort, the seat of Dal Riata Kings, through Templewood Stone Circle and north along the eastern shores of Loch Awe to Mt Ben Lui. A poetic tale of two young opposing clan members who in defiance of their warring elders, swap tartan then take the warrior king's sword from atop his grave in Releig Odrain and walk it along the path of the dead to hold it high to the Celtic Maclean's Cross. While sitting back against the cross, the Celtic Gods exile them to one thousand years after and one thousand years before. After returning to their fated time, to bring peace to their clans they must take the sword on a journey across the highlands and smote it into the heart of Mt Ben Lui.
