Scottish Rite Dormitory, a private women's residence near the University of Texas opened in 1922. Tales of panty raids, midnight serenades, friendship, brushes with fame and silly pranks along with repercussions for questionable behavior fill the pages, spanning most of its 95-year history.

The dorm's former residents including successful doctors, lawyers, scientists, engineers, mothers, politicians, journalists, historians as well as actresses share their stories, offering a glimpse into popular culture and the shared female college experience.
