Eve Thompson, a young woman about to turn thirty is heading to her hometown after her stepfather has a heart attack. She starts a diary documenting it. Upon her arrival home, she finds her old diary, the one she started at the age of thirteen, but left it behind when she moved away. Her true purpose of the visit is uncovered as she forces her mother to read the diary, revealing years of secrets resulting in their complicated relationships. She has come to put an end to it, she has come to eliminate the culprit.
