White supremacists, unfounded conspiracy spreaders, racists, xenophobes, homophobes, and other easily misguided and angry individuals have demonstrated cruel, sometimes violent, and mean-spirited behaviors that place the very essence of American values at risk.

Schisms have appeared within families, among longtime friends, neighbors, and inside political, social, and religious organizations. Unconditional kindness and forgiveness may offer the only viable way forward.
