The memoir spans from her childhood in England in World War 2 to travels throughout East Africa during unsettling times as the country sought Independence and ends with the final season of life in the United States during the latter part of the century. The story of the understanding of her Christian faith is threaded through the book as she details her search and how she came to know the truth about Jesus through a series of miracles which restored the eyesight that she had tragically lost.
