A determined young boy who faces unfriendly attacks as he seek to put his best foot forward. Sadly, he's bullied because he's unique. He's criticized just for trying. He's envied for having confidence and believing in himself. Bullying is cruel. It's a heartless act that makes a weak person feel strong or better about himself by trying to put down or intimidate someone else. Like a dream come true, in the story "Loose Beat" being bullied gave Jo Joe the coolness, the enthusiasm he needed to dig deep and emerge as the winner he knew he could become.
