The River of Life Hope

This is my true story. I hope you enjoy reading it as I enjoyed writing it. During the dry season, my homeland was hotter than a dragon's breath. The land would have cracks in it like the back of my grandfather's hands, like a spider's web. But when the rains were plentiful, the landscape was covered with greens and wildflowers and lush tree leaves thick like my mother's hair. In her arms I was protected, within a dwelling that was neatly laid out, along with many others in the village of Rindiao. There we were safe from harm by man or beast alike.
