Only a desperate person will seek God with their whole heart and soul. The challenge, then, is to live in this busy, day-to-day world and remain desperate for God. When Daryl Sherfey was fifty-six years old, he awoke at 2 a.m. one morning unable to breathe. His heart was failing due to uncontrolled diabetes. This book is the result of his encounter with death. For the first time ever, he realized he had deceived himself and had let his life veer off course. He had put off needed change because he'd believed he always had tomorrow. That morning he realized those tomorrows he had counted on were only an illusion. Desperate to be done with illusion and deceit, in 2007 he began a four-year journey of exposing his life to God's light--openly and honestly, in a public blog. A number of those who followed his blog requested he send out daily emails of his thoughts. This book is a collection of those emails. Their purpose is to challenge men to live truthfully in the pursuit of love and good works (1 Timothy 1:15-16).
