Shep and the Momma Mongoose is the first in a planned series of children's books focused on the shared adventures of Shep, a Chihuahua-Terrier mix, and his human mother Eileen. These adventures began in Hawaii where Shep and Eileen found each other at the Hawaii Humane Society. This first book focuses on an incident that occurred early in their life together when Shep fist discovered what a mongoose was and learned that a mother's love is the same no matter what kind of creature you are. Shep likes hearing this story periodically because it reminds him of the two years he and Eileen lived in Hawaii and because it was the first time that Shep and Eileen experienced something exciting and new together! Both Shep and Eileen hope that you too will enjoy their first adventure and they look forward to sharing more stories of their life together which has taken them from Hawaii, through National Parks and cities across the country to North Carolina.
