Facing the Mountains is based on a living testimony that is built off blood, sweat, and tears that held me together as I went through my journey as a caregiver for my father while he suffered from Alzheimer's disease. My dad was my heart, and I saw his life deteriorated right before my eyes. I faced many challenges and mixed emotions such as heartache, depression, loneliness, anger, confusion, and frustration. However, I share with you how God strengthened my faith and kept me alive and strong. God showed me his miraculous ways for the many times I pleaded for help, especially when multiple doors were closed in my face. This book is not just an ordinary read. I want caregivers to know that when you feel like you are doing it all alone, you're not alone. God will help you fight your battles while caring for your loved one. He will strengthen you. God promises to never forsake us. Caregivers need all the love, support, and strength they can get. Although I faced some big mountains, God showed me the strength that I needed to move those mountains and overcome adversity. I want you to know that you have the same strength.
