About the Author




Park has been very involved in local, regional, and state levels sports throughout most of his life. He has been a member of the Tunkhannock Kiwanis Club for over 50 years, and he has also served as the Competition Director for the Olympic-Style PA State Games for 26 years. He was a high school sports official for 25 years in baseball, and 10 years in football and basketball; and did play-by-play broadcasting football on radio for 12 years.




Now retired, Park was employed at Proctor & Gamble as a manager for 26 years and is also a United States Air Force veteran. He is a founding member and served as Secretary for the Wyoming County Fair since its inception in 1986.




Park has been married to his lovely wife Dorothy for over 61 years. They have three children, nine grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
