On the borderlands of Appalachia, when the darkness surrounds him completely after a cave-in, Kord thinks he's completely and hopelessly alone. Little does he know that his two best friends: siblings Clarkson and Theresa, are navigating the treacherous world of local bureaucracy to try and rescue Kord from the cave. In a town harboring an ancient, forgotten secret, Theresa and Clarkson are in just as much danger as Kord, who will soon come to realize he's that much less alone in the cramped recesses of the cave than he'd previously thought.
