Like a skipping stone's impact on water, I have hoped my every act of gratitude causes ripples of appreciation.




Gratitude: A Work in Progress devises a five-phase framework for developing and deploying gratitude in a personal, educational, and business context.




Author Austen Brower often quips that he, "wrote the book by accident." Having started a 365-day thank you note journey in January 2020, writing became a way to reflect and cope with the vulgar election cycle and global pandemic. Being passionate about people and wanting to add a sense of positivity into the world, he hopes the book will inspire others to share much needed gratitude with their communities.




Drawing inspiration from his own father's gratitude journey, Brower learned that tangible, genuine gratitude is not difficult. The right mindset, infrastructure, and approach can deliver consistent appreciation, compounding impact in one's own life and other's, while generating epicenters of extensive pro-social behavior.
