In the text "On Airs, Waters, and Places" written by the Greek Physician Hippocrates mentioned that the health of the humankind completely depends on the environment. As long as the environment is clean, health of the humans will be under check and can be controlled. Moreover, the Veterinary Public Health Division at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contributed in explaining the possibility of transmission of diseases among the animals and human. (1) In addition, it has provided detailed information about the epidemiology of zoonotic diseases. Thus, this prospect opens up the burgeoning domain of One Health. One Health is considered to be the transdisciplinary approach wherein multiple sectors come together to achieve better optimal health outcomes. This approach is worked at local, national and in global stages that aids in understanding the interconnected relation among animals, plants and their common shared environment. The special concept of One Health calls attention to the interconnection of human health with the health of animals and environment.
