Shay Sparrow is one of the best small birds at finding objects for the great scavenger hunt that is held every last weekend in the summer. One of the items on the list is a black feather with red and yellow markings. Shay decides to make things easier this year and paint a feather he found from a black crow. What happens when the paint he chooses turns the black feather green and blue instead? How can Shay prove he is the best at the scavenger hunt this year? As he tries to clean the feather off in the fountain, he realizes that there is one bird that can help him win, with some help. If the paint won't work what else can he find?
