Contributor Bio:  Rush, George Alex Lutomirski-Kolacz is a multidisciplinary artist and philanthropist born in Poland, who writes, paints and photographs under the name Alukotron The Artist. He studied art under close coaching and supervision of his father Waclaw Kolacz, a Master of Fine Arts who also was an art teacher. His first book comes out exactly one year after his solo debut art exhibition "Honoring Our Fathers," which was dedicated by the artist to his late father. The Author was born May 8th 1966 in Warsaw, Poland to Elizabeth V. Lutomirski and Waclaw (Vatslav) Kolacz. Since early childhood Alex manifested great interest in art. He also explored such subjects as literature, geography, biology and history. He's won several art competitions throughout his education years. In Poland Alex also sung Gospel and Negro Spirituals as a tenor with a vocal group "Voice of Hope" that later became a male quintet "Advent Singers." They toured Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Denmark and Czechoslovakia. Alex has a degree in Archival Science and speaks fluently 4 foreign languages. He was briefly married and has one daughter, Kasia (Katarzyna Alma). Among many prestigious places, he worked for the United Nations Headquarters, the Montel Williams Show (Paramount/Viacom) and for one of the Jersey City's clinics as Medical Assistant. Since 2011, Alex works in his own Art Studio. Alex published his first article in 1993 in the New York's Edition of the "Polish Daily News" in his native Polish, and he debuted in English publishing an article in the bi-monthly "OutStretch" magazine in 2002. In December 2003 the Author was presented with the "Editor's Choice Award For Outstanding Achievement in Poetry" by Poetry.com and the International Library of Poetry. Alex's is a member of The Hudson Artists of New Jersey since 2001 and on its Board of Directors since 2011 where as a volunteer he's handling Graphic Design and Public Relations. In 2003 he was awarded an "Honorable Mention in Oils" for his painting "Little Insurgent of Warsaw" (oil). Alex is a Civil/Human Rights advocate and belongs to Amnesty Intl, ACLU and NAACP. He resides in the US since 1990 and in Jersey City, NJ since 1997. In the circle of artists and friends the Author is known as a Renaissance Man, although he rather refers to himself as a "constant work in progress." He has been recognized and described as "an artist with the power to break down any cliches and schematic human minds." through his creative work of all mediums.
