I believe part of the reason why so many marriages in today's society end in divorce is because of the simple fact that no one ever painted a picture for them of what "happily ever after" looks like in reality. Individuals go into a marriage expecting "happily ever after" to look like their childhood fantasy. When they wake up and realize that that's not the case, they figure, "Then, this must not be my Prince Charming" . . . never stopping to take into consideration that maybe their expectations are based on fantasy rather than reality. In her book, "What Ever Happened to Happily Ever After," Keidra Hobley takes a look at some of the different fantasies that many marriages are based on and helps them to transition from a dream state to one of reality. In doing so, she helps to enable marriages to experience a happily ever after that is based on reality and realistic expectations. Keidra H. Hobley holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business Management, a Master's degree in Psychology and Christian Counseling, and a Doctorate in Communications and Christian Leadership. She is a national conference speaker, leadership and professional development trainer, a certified human behavior consultant, an accredited DISC training provider, and a certified coach, teacher and speaker with the John Maxwell Team. Keidra has been married to her one and only husband, James, for 15 years and they have three beautiful children.
