The author is a freelance writer who grew up in Liverpool, New York and who has lived in Sarasota, Florida for 45 years. She has been a teacher of French, Conversational Spanish, Spanish in the Workplace. Adult Basic Education and GED Prep. She is married to Keith Hildreth, a retired Lieutenant in the City of Sarasota Department. They are parents to Amy, a Manatee County Patrol deputy, and Cory, who owns a flooring business and sings in the country music band One Night Rodeo. Martha and her husband are grandparents to Adriana, Kaylee, Megan, Judson, and Elle, who were the inspiration to save the memories and letters of three generations. Besides reading and writing, the author enjoys Jazzercise, walking, traveling on the couple's Gold Wing trike, and singing baritone in the award-winning Magic of Manatee Sweet Adelines Chorus.
