I Wear Teal for My Mom Kristy Rhodes

When she was 37 years old Kristy was diagnosed with Stage III Ovarian Cancer. After many fruitless efforts searching for a book to explain cancer to her young son, Kristy decided to write one and share her family's experience so that other parents, guardians, and care givers have a resource to help them discuss this disease on a child's level. Kristy is originally from Upstate New York and has lived in Florida since 1994. After 10 years she is still in treatment for cancer and has an optimistic outlook on life. She and her husband, Jason, have been married for 20 years and their son, William, now 12 years old, is the light of their life.
