Thoughts of a Country Girl Virginia C. Acors
Thoughts of a Country Girl
Virginia C. Acors
We all have memories of events in our past that have shaped and molded us. This book is a collection of events (real and not-so-real) from my life and the lives of family members and friends who were instrumental in mine. Virginia Acors is a native Virginian. She grew up on the fringes of the Chancellorsville and Wilderness Battlefields, hollowed ground from the Civil War. Educated in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, Mrs. Acors has always had an intense love affair with history and the details of everyday life for those who endured the conflicts that have made our great country what it is today. With a B. S. in History from Mary Washington College and an M. Ed. in Reading from The University of Virginia she has taught students in every grade from Kindergarten through twelfth grade in the historic hub in which she finds herself. She lives with her husband, Vernon, in the small community of Partlow near their three sons, three daughters-in-law, and four grandchildren.
