Two women. Two stories. Fresh from the battlefields of Korea, Bobby met Jeanette while visiting a friend back home in Tennessee. Annie walked into Bill's office in a Georgia textile mill and something just clicked. My Girl is the true story of these two couples, written as a tribute to these brave, strong women. From two different generations, through their faith and compassion, they touched the lives of everyone they knew. Two hard-working girls of humble beginnings, who were determined to help others and honor God. This is their story told by the men that loved them. This is how they met, how they lived, how they died, and how each in their own way made us better men. Bill Combs lives in Calhoun, Georgia. He's worked in the textile industry since graduating from the University of Georgia in 1979, spending fifteen years as a plant manager. His first book, God Is Alive, was published in 2003.
