Most of the stories in this book come from the life experiences of the preachers in the author's family, his father, brothers, and the author himself. A few stories from his friends have been added. The last section of the book contains jokes told from the pulpit. Humor is one of the joys that God has given to take the edge off of the harshness that can come in this life. May these stories cheer your heart. The son and grandson of Baptist preachers, Paul Gordon has been in the ministry since he was sixteen in 1963. He has a BA in English from Western Kentucky and a Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice Seminary. He has taught English, Bible, and writing on the high school and college levels for seventeen years, and he has been a senior pastor for twenty-five years. He is currently the pastor the First Baptist Church in Apopka, Florida.
