He is currently a senior lecturer at the school of computing at the University of Canberra in Australia. He is a senior member of several professional (computing and engineering) organizations. He is also currently the vice chair of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE) ACT section. His research interests lie in Intelligent and adaptive systems, Intelligent Agents, fuzzy logic, genetic algorithms, neural networks and their applications in information retrieval, data mining, industrial automation, financial and business problems which involve real time data processing, planning and decision making. He is a member of over 30 international conferences and he has chaired several international conferences in intelligent agents and computational intelligence. He was the chair of the 2001 and 2003 International Conference on Intelligent Agents, Web Technologies and Internet Commerce.
