It is a mix of political passions, national security interests, media smears, a jealous wife and mistress, murders, attempted murders, a terrifying closing chase, a modern woman heroine, gay heroes, an ambivalent rescuer, fabulously evil spy villains, and a charismatic, libidinous and passionate President.
