A Place Called Home is about life in a small southern town in the forties and fifties. Times were simpler then. You knew everyone in town, and everyone knew you, and they impacted your life in very special ways. This book centers on a doctor in the small town of Sheldon and the people he comes in contact with each day. Come laugh with him, cry with him, and experience the miracles that come from walking with the Lord. THE AUTHOR: Ann Melton grew up in the small southern town of Sylva, located in the mountains of Western North Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree from Western Carolina University and her doctorate from the University of South Carolina. She was a public school educator and retired from Madison County as Assistant Superintendent. She now lives in Waynesville, North Carolina with her husband Frank.
