It includes concepts derived from a consideration of the effect of a riverine environment on tactics and techniques, and applies in varying degrees to operations conducted in limited and general war in a riverine environment. The doctrine, tactics, and techniques of other Services relating to the conduct of riverine operations are discussed only as they relate to the employment of the landing force.
