During the time of the Vikings, Claudia is living as a slave under a Viking leader. During that time she bares a child name Nadia and raising her under her master's household. Nadia grows up living the same lifestyle as her mother up until they learn about the invasion of the Carolingian Empire. They make their escape from their master in hopes for freedom in the kingdom. But tragedy comes when Nadia and her mother get captured by the Viking army, having her mother die in their custody and leaving Nadia to proceed the journey alone. But Nadia was able to enter the Carolingian Empire after a major battle between them and the Vikings being brought in by the army. Since then she starts off her life under a royal noble starting as a simple servant. But Nadia eventually becomes more then that as she lives her new life with the opportunities she finds and the people she meets.
