In this easy to read book, Antonio Richardson addresses some of the challenges and complications he experienced while prolonging his life on hemodialysis. He shares a wealth of knowledge acquired over his 7-year journey on hemodialysis in hopes that it will help others who are currently on dialysis, those who have been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease as well as those who are not yet on dialysis. The knowledge he shares could help pave the way for safer treatment sessions and prevent avoidable crisis and/or unnecessary complications as they address some common issues. One example of this is how to prevent having too-low blood pressure while on hemodialysis. In addition to relating valuable experiences, the book also includes a number of food tables designed to help dialysis patients regulate their diets more easily.
