Originally published in 1866 and later reprinted many times over the years, this book was written by Truong Vinh Ky for educational purpose and literary joy. It contains seventy four ancient stories, which were told among the Vietnamese. Knowing that it is hard for readers to understand fully the Vietnamese language of 150 years ago, Professor Nguyen Van Sam publishes this book based on a 1914 edition with many notes to make it easier to understand.
