Silken Blade Jenny Woodgate
Silken Blade
Jenny Woodgate
The night was warm and pleasant, midsummer, and peaceful. The smell of barbecues and the sounds of back garden parties floated on the soft breeze and gave a sense of security, even for those that used the old graveyard as a cut-through. It was a well looked-after little graveyard, with flowers and ornate statues. More like a park than a boneyard, really. So considering how nice it was, it really came as a shock when the first body was found there. Silk arrived to find out what had happened and to stop it from happening again, except she had no idea about what was going on. Magic? Mana? Wasnt that all just stories to entertain children? But when you could fly around at will, where could you start pointing the finger at what was real and what wasnt?
