A few years ago, the Holy Spirit began speaking to Brent giving him interesting spiritual object lessons from everyday occurrences.


In his book Saltines and Stuffed Bears, author Brent Smith utilizes his walk with God in short stories, allowing the Holy Spirit to transform the things we experience on a daily basis; the abstract, the routine, and the mundane; into an uncommon lesson from God's Word that will open your eyes and give you a new perspective. Brent has been walking with the Lord for over thirty years and has a lot to say about the joys and struggles of life.

Brent Smith is a graduate of Bethany Theological Seminary in Dothan, Alabama He has a B. A. in Christian Counseling and an MA in Religion. Brent has been married to his best earthly friend Donna, for thirty years, has three grown children, three grandchildren and two beautiful cats.
