He was a beautiful, blue-eyed angel; the third child of author Marianne Snyder and her husband, and the one that would change their lives and faith in God forever. After a difficult pregnancy, Jayden was born to the notion he completed the perfect family life envisioned by Marianne. However, in her new autobiography, Tears of Promise, happiness turned to shock when Jayden was diagnosed with autism and begin showing sensitivity to sights and sounds. Marianne already had established a strong mother-son bond with Jayden, and this bond intensified as she tried to open Jayden up and be Christlike for her children, even while enduring criticism of her parenting. The family saw Jayden find freedom through art and experienced compassion from others as they learned Jayden's autistic traits and showered him with love. Marianne, for one, strengthened her trust in God and realized His gift was a promising future for Jayden.
