Imagine the stress of knowing one day you will be king. But, to add to that already enormous source of anxiety, imagine growing up without the influence of a strong and wise father to act as your mentor... and then, when your father finally does appear on the scene, you have to live in the shadow of one of the greatest of all the heroes of the Heroic Age of ancient Greece: Odysseus! It has been ten years since the homecoming of the wily, wayfaring warrior and king, and his son Telemachus finds his own existence to be fairly superfluous - anything he might do for Ithaca, his father can do better. And yet one day Ithaca will be his responsibility... So what can a father do to inspire the hidden potential of his son, the man who will be king? Opportunity arises when Ithaca is cursed with a mysterious blight, and so Odysseus sends forth his son in search of a magic to combat the ravaging plague... but with the fate of the kingdom in peril, its heir must either rise to the challenge - or, in the end, prove himself unworthy of the throne...
