Satin Abernathy was born in Southern Germany, Satine a year later in Lousiana, to a Black former GI and a White German ballet dancer. Coming of age, brother and sister lived happy youthful years by the East River in Manhattan; although looking at each other with altered sentiments, after years of separation during childhood, Satine growing up in New Orleans, Satin in New York.
Theirs is a musical, also an explosive world, full of adventure, frequent amorous encounters; which include the brothel next door housing a goodly number of filles legeres, ever renewed and of global provenance.
