Once there were three girls who were as beautiful as the teal ocean under the light of the sun. The eldest was named Anita, full of grace and often called the Cannoli of Naples, hard on the outside yet soft and sweet on the inside. Darling Carina was the middle sister, and she was sweet yet just as sour as a sfogliatella (an Italian treat pastry shaped like a shell and often filled with ricotta and pieces of tart fruit). The youngest sister, Juliana, was full of youth and was as remarkable as the first blood orange of the season.
