This is a tragic story occcurred during the Japanese occupation of Viet Nam during World War II. In 1044, the Japanese Army confiscated most of the rice fields across the country to industriel plants, juste and cotton instead of rice. This lead to a terrible famine at of 1945 with nearly 2 million Vietnamse died of starvation in the first 3 months alone. Only a very few Vietnamse authors would write about this tragic period of Vieynamse history. Who's responsible for the famine? Suffering, despair, and hatred...the Japanese people is responsible for this horrific war crime.
