We are instructed to "fix our eyes on Jesus," to "look away from all distractions" and have "eyes for no one but Jesus," because He is the author and perfecter of true faith. Jesus Christ was in the beginning with the Father and will be there in the end when all things are subjected to Him. He alone declares the end from the beginning. No one and no thing is hidden from Him but all things are "open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do." He alone knows where we have been, where we are, and where we are going.
