We have all been brought up in sexist systems, and if discrimina-tion against the female gender is still strong here in the West, what is the situation among people who consider women mere objects, without dignity or humanity? However, when we observe and analyze the lives of women from the past and the pre-sent - women like Ruth, Dandara dos Palmares, Yeonmi Park and many others, each of whom decided to fight and to pay the price to change this odious reality - we understand that there is hope. Hope that there will be equal rights, obli-gations and opportunities for women and men. Hope that the masculine and feminine roles, though so different, will be completed and en-riched.
