A young provincial girl comes to Moscow to reunite with her Grandmother who abandoned her granddaughter and her own son, the girl's father, years ago. Full of ambitions and dreams, Dina does not expect to encounter the poignant mystery hidden in her family's history. Her Grandmother seems marasmic in her speeches and cruel in the rules that she established for the girl in her enormous dark apartment in a Stalin's architecture building. One night when Dina discovers a terrible truth about her Grandma, she finds a family relict, diary "D," her Hungarian Grandfather's heritage, whose author is a real historic figure, the Wallachian Governor Wlad Dracula. While reading his diary, Dina writes her own diary describing the chain of crazy and horrible events occurred in her family and her own destiny. During this deep psychoanalytical journey, Dina gradually comes to the understanding of love as the only and authentic sense of life.
