Larry Moran has the same feelings about the Wild West, and he starts off his collection with a section on cowboys. His poems evoke a sense of whimsy and can be outright laugh-out-loud funny. Moran recalls falling in love with poetry after high school. As a young journalist, he wanted to read more, and the poetry of Wordsworth, Service, Poe, and Shakespeare (can't forget him!) caught his eye. He later diversified into great Western poets and worked on creating his own style and rhythm. The result is an intriguing and insightful collection that will inspire readers.
