The story of Paul and the Thessalonians is told in the new way as a novel. The Thessalonians were being persecuted for their new faith and needed encouragement and hope. Because of his own persecution by the opposition in Thessalonica, Paul answered their call by writing and delivering his strong words to the church, which they heeded. The church in Thessalonica, starting with a handful of believers and a powerful missionary, became a thriving church and remains so today.
