West Allis came of age in the early 20th century as groups of immigrating Germans, Poles, and Slavs joined original settlers to a build a community that is now quickly approaching 100 years of success and vitality. Home to industrial giants such as the Allis-Chalmers Company and Kearney and Trecker Corporation, West Allis manufactured the machines, parts, and equipment essential to the growth of the nation.
