Over the past 150 years, Forsyth County, North
Carolina, has experienced much growth and change.
With this unprecedented new photographic history, readers
are invited to take a memorable jaunt through yesteryear,
back to the days when farming villages dotted the county
and the automobile was still a thing of the future.
The over 200 vintage images collected together in this
volume were drawn from the Frank Jones Collection of the
Forsyth County Library, as well as from private collections.
The work focuses on the smaller communities of
Clemmons, Kernersville, Pfafftown, Lewisville, Rural Hall,
and Tobaccoville, bringing many rare images into public
view. Forsyth County includes images of citizens from all
walks of life and provides glimpses into their daily activities,
from sports and recreation to work, education, and religion.

Cindy Casey and the members of the Forsyth County
Genealogical Society, the images included in this volume
