The "Imagining the Bible - Mar-e Cohen Bible" consists of Bible stories in their translated text (The JPS 1917 translation), illustrated with artwork by the great artists of history, including Rembrandt, Monet, Tissot, and many others. It is a mosaic of story and image, old and new, a memory of the days of old. Its goal is to help children, adolescents and adults embrace the legacy of the Bible and appreciate it. The book of Genesis opens with the story of creation, and passes through the other stories, including Abel and Cain, the Flood, the Tower of Babel, Abraham and Sarah, Sodom and Gomorrah, the Sacrifice of Isaac, Isaac and Rebecca, Jacob and Esau, the love story of Jacob and Rachel, and Joseph and his brothers, and ends with the deaths of Jacob and Joseph. This is the first book in the "Imagining the Bible" series-stories from the Torah, Prophets, and Writings.
