Book updated Nov. 2020. In Tennessee, the 1973 Tennessee Real Estate Brokers Act, Rules, and Regulations together with the Tennessee Timeshare Act govern real estate broker licensing. To be eligible for the broker examination, a candidate must have held an ACTIVE license as an affiliate broker for a pre-specified amount of time. There is also a 120 classroom hours of approved real estate education requirement. Eligibility for examination is subject to approval! A lot of topics are covered by the exam but we choose to focus on the legal and regulatory topics here. We give you knowledge information relevant to the exam specification. To be able to succeed in the real exam, you'll need to apply your earned knowledge to the question scenarios. Many of the exam questions are written to be less straight forward.
